More than 35 plants specializing in the production of aerated concrete blocks are among our customers. The geography of these enterprises is quite extensive – almost all the plants are in Ukraine, the CIS countries and the near and far abroad.
The brief overview of the grinding process in the aerated concrete production has been published for our readers earlier.
Energosteel specialists have analyzed the grinding balls shipments to customers specializing in the of aerated concrete production over the past four years in order to improve the Energosteel’s competitiveness in the grinding media market. The analysis revealed that in most cases the 40 mm grinding balls are used. Although there are clients that use the 30 mm grinding balls. There are also plants that use a 40mm/30mm mixture, but in this case the mixing ratio is different for each individual enterprise.
The grinding technological conditions (the type of mills and armouring lining, parameters of grinding material and so on) are similar in all enterprises. To provide the necessary grinding fineness, you need to load the optimal 40mm and 30mm grinding balls ratio. This is, however, not always achieved. In this case 35 mm grinding balls is the ideal solution.
Technical specialists of Energosteel decided to test this hypothesis based on theoretical developments. The Bond formula was used to determine the optimal grinding balls diameter in the mill.
We have requested the necessary information for the calculations from our six clients. On the basis of the data obtained, calculations were completed. The analysis revealed that the average diameter of the ball in the mill is 30.5-32mm for all enterprises, taking into account the new loaded and existing balls in the mill. Thus, we have once again seen that the 35 mm grinding ball is perfect for the daily loading of balls into the mill.
In May this year, we expanded the range of steel grinding balls and launched the 35 mm steel ball. The experimental rental was performed in the amount of 200 tons (two batches of 100 tons each). All batches were tested for impact resistance and hardness (more than 60 HRC). At the same time we are conducting the negotiations with your partners about the possibility of performing tests on the basis of their enterprises.
Energosteel always get his finger on the pulse and always takes into account the customers needs based on their technological processes specifics.
