Hardness tester T-UD2
Hardness tester T-UD2 – a device for measuring hardness by the ultrasonic contact impedance method. The method essence follows: a diamond pyramid fixed on a metal rod oscillating at a resonant frequency introduce into the product material under a calibrated load. The rod vibration frequency is proportional to the imprint area on the object of inspection, i.e. the material hardness. The method is somewhat similar to the Vickers method, but the imprint area estimated without removing the load, i.e. in conjunction with the deformation elastic component. The workload is small – about 10N, because the sensor fixed to the object by hand. The method occupies an intermediate position between the Vickers method and the microhardness method for local effect on the object, because of imprint loads and imprint size. The method allows to measure hardness at any spatial position of the sensor.
