The dragging (drawing)

The dragging (drawing) – is the process of metals treatment by pressure, when a circular or shaped profile products (billets) drawn through a round or shaped hole with the cross section smaller than the billet section. As a result, the billet cross-sectional area decreases and length increases.

Drawing widely used in the production of metal rods, wires, pipes and other products. They produce on drawing machines. The dragging and broaching devices are the main machines parts.
