Steel resilience of Energosteel in the labyrinth of military challenges

Due to the military actions, the years 2022 and 2023 became a period of changes and trials for Ukrainian business. In conditions where raw material prices are rapidly increasing, electricity is becoming more expensive, and logistics face blockades, Ukraine’s metallurgical industry also encountered significant challenges of reality. However, in this labyrinth of economic problems, the company “Energosteel” demonstrated unwavering resilience and found ways to optimize production, ensuring further supply of steel grinding balls to Ukrainian and world consumers.

One of the key steps was to seek new raw material suppliers who could offer an optimal balance between price and quality. Our goal is to produce high-quality products that meet the highest standards while maintaining competitive pricing for our partners. We held meetings in Poland, Turkey, received dozens of cooperation proposals, checked certifications, production standards, and, having made sure the conformity of the obtained rolled bars to our high standards, concluded cooperation agreements on mutually beneficial terms.

Additionally, we continuously work on finding optimal alternative delivery routes. In this context, we even managed to organize the first shipments by sea since the onset of large-scale military actions.

“Energosteel” reflects a good example of adaptability and strategic leadership, demonstrating sales growth even during wartime. Statistics testify to this – sales from March to November 2023 increased by 25% compared to March-November 2022. Particularly, domestic deliveries within Ukraine increased by 55%, indicating the recovery of work by Ukrainian enterprises and their growth in 2023. Unfortunately, due to logistic blockades at our borders, the export of steel balls decreased by 18% in March-November 2023 compared to the same period in 2022. Hence, the positive sales indicator to Ukrainian enterprises is promising, however, the necessity to active work on resolving logistical issues for exports remains.

Therefore, we are not just continuing to supply steel grinding balls—we are finding new ways to support and strengthen our connections in these challenging conditions. We are not standing still; on the contrary, we are constantly evolving, discovering new, effective methods to achieve our goals.
