Bond in grinding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-indent: 20px;\" align=\"justify\">Last year, we affected one rather interesting topic &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/energosteel.com\/en\/sag-mills-choosing-methods-i-sag-mills-choosing-based-on-f-bond-s-working-indices-calculation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">use of the energy indices in the grinding process design<\/a>. We had planned to consider three calculation methods. Having studied this issue in more detail, we&#8217;ve decided to cover this topic in more detail. We will try to briefly, but as informative as possible, describe the methodology for providing the fifteen generally accepted laboratory tests types.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: 20px;\" align=\"justify\">All those methods based on the F. Bond works, who as early as the 1950s put forward his famous theory (in narrow circles it is called the &#8222;third theory&#8221;). F. Bond claimed, during the grinding process designing, it is necessary to calculate the specific energy spent on reducing the material initial particles size to the required size after grinding.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: 20px;\" align=\"justify\">General view of the Bond theory equation has the following form:<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5719\" src=\"https:\/\/energosteel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/20200206_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"476\" height=\"116\" srcset=\"https:\/\/energosteel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/20200206_1.jpg 476w, https:\/\/energosteel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/20200206_1-300x73.jpg 300w, https:\/\/energosteel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/20200206_1-150x37.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width:767px) 476px, 476px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Where: E is the specific energy of particle size reduction for 1 ton of material, kW * h \/ t;<\/p>\n<p>Wi &#8211; Bond&#8217;s working index;<\/p>\n<p>P_80 &#8211; the mill feed size, 80% passes the control sieve;<\/p>\n<p>F_80 &#8211; the product size at the output, 80% passes the control sieve.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: 20px;\" align=\"justify\">What does the term \u201cF. Bond&#8217;s Working Index\u201d mean?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: 20px;\" align=\"justify\">The \u201cF. Bond&#8217;s Working Index\u201d is a grinding parameter expressing the material resistance to crushing or grinding. In numerical terms, the working index measured in kW * h \\ t. So, this indicator shows the energy amount needs to be spent on grinding the one short ton of material.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: 20px;\" align=\"justify\">Depending on the method (stage) of crushing\/grinding, the F. Bond&#8217;s Working Index divided into:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The crushing index (CWi);<\/li>\n<li>The work index grinding rod(RWi);<\/li>\n<li>The grinding ball index (BWi).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-indent: 20px;\" align=\"justify\">In the next article, we will reveal in detail the methodology for the indicated indices calculation, and make calculations at specific examples.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last year, we affected one rather interesting topic &#8211; use of the energy indices in the grinding process design.
