Influence of ore properties on the selection of grinding balls
02.06.2026
At the end of May, our team attended Euro Mine Expo 2026, held in the Swedish city of Skellefteå. Despite the relatively compact format of the event, the exhibition proved to be highly valuable and productive in terms of gathering market intelligence and establishing new professional contacts.
A distinctive feature of the exhibition was its strong focus on the Swedish mining sector. The main exhibition area was centered around companies operating copper and zinc deposits, which provided an excellent opportunity to gain deeper insights into the specifics of the local market and better understand the current needs of producers. During numerous meetings, we obtained valuable information regarding the key criteria for selecting grinding balls, operational requirements, and expectations concerning technical and service support.
Throughout the event, a series of meetings were held with well-known mining companies, as well as with manufacturers, suppliers, and intermediaries. One of the key observations was that companies in the region consider not only product quality but also professional technical assistance and reliable service support as crucial factors when choosing technological solutions.
The exhibition provided an excellent opportunity to gain a better understanding of the Swedish market, expand professional networks, and gather valuable information on current trends in the mining industry of Northern Europe. Once again, even a relatively small event demonstrated that direct interaction with the market provides significantly more insights than any analytical report.
